Material Efficiency
In Germany, about 40% of a manufacturing company’s costs are for materials and energy. Estimates and concrete examples from research indicate a savings potential of up to 15% in this area – larger than any other cost centre for such companies! Nevertheless, this fact is often overlooked or trivialised in daily production.
Our group at IAF has spent many years in the pursuit of optimising product life cycles and production processes in enterprises and in using scientific methods to analyse the potential conservation of materials and energy. Both technical and economic know-how form the foundation of this analysis. In numerous consulting projects in companies of various sizes, from large firms to SMEs, and within differing industries, we have successfully deployed our practical knowledge and continue to guarantee extensive experience in operational material flow management.
